Former World No 2 Petra Kvitova hasn’t had many effective performances throughout the year except her single title win during the grass season as she has been struggling with her injuries. Her two Grand Slam titles came at Wimbledon back in the year 2011 and 2014, where Novak Djokovic was the men’s champion alongside her. She revealed the reason for missing the opportunity to dance with the Serb on both chances.

She had defeated the Russian legend Maria Sharapova in straight sets to win her maiden Grand Slam title in 2011. Her second Wimbledon title came after a gap of two years in 2014 when Kvitova defeated the Canadian Eugenie Bouchard in straight sets and was quite dominant throughout the tournament as she had dropped only one set that came in the third round. The Czech player had managed to enter the Top 5 after a fantastic 2014 season.

During her interview with Flashscore, she went to admit that it was completely a saving grace from facing any sort of embarrassment since she considers herself a bad dancer. She further claimed that the Serb arrived a little late since the finals concluded a bit late and everything had to be rushed during the Championship Ball.

Petra Kvitova said that “Luckily we didn’t dance (laughs). It worked out very well for me because dancing and me are a bad combination. You’ll probably never see me in Dancing with the Stars. Otherwise, Novak has always been very nice, but because it’s on a Sunday when they play, he was late. There was always a wait for him, and it was so fast. But luckily we didn’t dance, that tradition was abandoned earlier.

The 2-time Wimbledon champion even acknowledged her service games and the strength of her forehand. She claimed that she adapts to the game very well and has the ability to judge situations and react accordingly to bring out the best in her. She even admired the fact that Swiatek is one of the swift players on the court and is very accurate with her shot selections and defense.
