He later faced Argentine Sebastian Baez in another exciting two-set encounter. While both players went back and forth in the first set of the game, Rune managed to pull through a set and eventually got the following set to keep his tournament hopes alive.

Now, the World No. 6 moves on to the quarterfinals, where he faces another Argentine, Tomás Martín Etcheverry. Despite multiple obstacles and criticism, the youngster has shown time and again that he belongs among the top names and will soon be worthy of a Grand Slam.

With new coach Boris Becker, Holger looks to bounce back with an increase in his rankings and possibly win a few Grand Slam titles in years to come.
