"We look forward to continuing the good work in the preseason and 2024 with our team, with whom we will also end the year."

She also talked about how making the right decision for her son has been a very challenging task which is why there was a constant change in their team and management. However, she expressed her delight in having the 6 time Grand Slam champion as his coach as the World No.8 and the German seem to be having an excellent bond.

Holger Rune’s run at the ongoing ATP Finals came to an end after his defeat against Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner in the green draw. The Dane however had a successful campaign at the Paris Masters where he reached the quarter-finals during his title defense. He then lost to the 24-time Grand Slam champion and eventual winner Djokovic.

A look at Holger Rune’s 2023 season

Holger Rune started the year on a high by reaching two ATP 1000 finals in Monte Carlo and Rome. He had a pretty impressive clay court season. However, things went downhill ever since his quarter-final exit at the Wimbledon this year. Post this, he was troubled by a back injury and was on a losing streak, including his first-round loss at the US Open.

The Danish also parted ways with his former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou. However, Holger Rune found some sort of a connection with Boris Becker as things started to improve soon after the German joined his team. He reached the semi-finals at Basel and the quarter-finals at the Paris Masters. As the Dane finished the year in the top 8, his stint with the German legend is something to look forward to in the upcoming 2024 season.
