After his match, in the post-match press conference, Kyrgios was asked about his aptitude of giving fitting replies to the media, to which he said, “As for media, I couldn’t care less. I do this because I have to be here and I don’t want to get fined, so… I mean, it’s routine. I don’t really enjoy it, to be honest. I’d rather not be here right now

Furthermore, he was asked about his chances in the upcoming US Open, to which Kyrgios said, “I’m not thinking about US Open. There are 128 players at the US Open who are capable of doing some great things. I’m confident, but I’m not going to go and say I’m a favorite. I feel like I’m playing well. Still got to play before then, I’m going to focus on that.”

Kyrgios will be looking to repeat his performances from Wimbledon and go all the way in the final major tournament of the season as the Australian is in red hot form right now.
