Stefanos Tsitsipas enters the last 8 in the Australian Open
This edition of the Australian Open is the first Grand Slam in the history of the Open Era where the top seeds of both the men’s and women’s draws have lost before the quarter-finals. Such is the intensity with which the matches are being played. However, Stefanos Tsitsipas made no mistakes so far and is the best-seeded player in the major right now.
He played some wonderful tennis against Sinner, who has the habit of coming back after being 0-2. The match saw some exciting and nail-biting rallies throughout. Although no set saw a tiebreak, it was still an exciting context between these two. Tsitsipas next plays the Czech Republican, Jiri Lehecka who is playing his first quarter-final. Nevertheless, it is a tough match for the third seed as Jiri knocked out another top seed Felix Auger Aliassime in his last match.
