Genie Bouchard

Genie Bouchard whose tennis career has taken a severe toll for some time now magically has made a comeback at the ongoing Chennai Open by securing her spot in the round of 16. Nevertheless, fans and the tennis community seem to have taken an unusual oath of mocking the Canadian professional regardless.

Bouchard’s previous endeavor at the US Open came down in flames when she lost in the qualifiers round to Linda Noskova with a humiliating score of 6-2, 6-3. WTA’s tweet upon congratulating the 28-year-old on her first major win since 2021 backfired when several fans were witnessed poking fun at her saying “I thought she a tik toker.”

Genie Bouchard has constantly compromised herself whilst being under a microscopic radar with her inability to deliver on her performance notably in any major championships. At the recently held WTA 125k Vancouver, Canada, which is a part of the Challenger Women, the Canadian was ousted in the round of 32 by Arianne Hartono with a humiliating score of 6-2, 6-2.

Often in the past, the global tennis community has criticized her for not taking the game seriously and sparing views on her as such, they feel it might be highly likely for the 28-year-old to consider stepping off the court and trying her fortune someplace else because her tennis results certainly aren’t working in her favor.
