Frances Tiafoe, the 24-year-old American professional is one of the most talented players on tour currently, ranked as high as world number 26, Tiafoe is cementing his position as one of the most solid players in the ongoing US Open as he has manged to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Tiafoe put in a good performance for the majority of his North American swing, he managed to reach the quarter-finals of the Atalanta Open where he was eliminated by Jenson Brooksby, he also reached the quarter-finals of the Citi Open and was eliminated in the second rounds of both Canadian Open and the Cincinnati Masters event.

Frances Tiafoe shocked the world recently as he pulled off an insane upset against Rafael Nadal in the US Open round of 16 fixture, Nadal who was one of the favorites to go all the way and win the tournament was eliminated by the American professional in a thrilling match that ended with Tiafoe moving on to the quarter-finals.
American tennis legend, Andy Roddick talked about Frances Tiafoe’s victory saying, “If I’m him and I just had the biggest win of my career, the last thing I want to talk about is someone else, I get it. I don’t want to be the answer to a trivia question for much longer either, “I like Frances a lot, I love his game, I think he’s fantastic. I like the way he operates, I like his energy. And frankly in this country we need people that are not only really good, but are entertaining; and he has that.”
“I want him to do well. I would love nothing more than for him to go all the way and have someone else not want to talk about him some day,” Roddick added further.
After defeating Nadal, Frances Tiafoe will be going up against Russian professional Andrey Rublev in the quarter-final stages of the US Open.
