Iga Swiatek beats Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz in list of players to win the most matches against Top 10 in 2022

Polish tennis professional Iga Swiatek roared on the big stage this year. She played her best tennis this year and was in impeccable form and perform exceedingly well at almost all the major tournaments.
The Polish player won the 2022 French Open and US Open titles and a host of other WTA tournaments which propelled her to the top of the WTA rankings. She is currently World No.1, a position of strength she has held since April of 2022.

These are the number of wins Iga Swiatek registered against the female tennis players ranked in the Top 10 in various tournaments played throughout the year. This list includes both male and female players. Interestingly, Novak Djokovic also managed to get his name on this list as well, despite missing two Grand Slams and many important tournaments this year.
World No.1, according to ATP rankings, Carlos Alcaraz has registered only 9 wins this season against the Top 10 and is tied with Holger Rune who is ranked No.11. 2022 WTA Finals champion Caroline Garcia, 2022 Australian Open, and French Open winners Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas are also on the list with 8 wins registered against the Top 10 in 2022.
High expectations from Iga Swiatek in WTA 2023 season

Iga Swiatek played like a true champion this year. She won 8 singles titles this year, which includes two Grand Slam titles and 4 WTA 1000 titles. After such a wonderful year the expectations have readily increased from the World No.1.
The 21-year-old is a powerful force on the clay court. She has won the French Open twice in her career. Hence, she is expected to repeat her feat in 2023. She also won the US Open for the first time in 2022. A strong performance in 2023 at the Flushing Meadows, New York, USA is expected in the coming September.
She has struggled on a grass court and at Wimbledon over the past few seasons. Her best performance here came in 2021 when she reached the Round of 16 of the tournament. This year she could not move past the third round of the tournament. She would love to improve her stats here.
However, right now, all her concentration must be on the upcoming Australian Open. She reached the semi-final round of the tournament in 2022 but lost to Danielle Collins. Her fans would love to see her win and make a great start this season.
