The 2022 French Open and US Open champion Iga Swiatek will start the tournament as seed #1. The 2022 Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur is ranked No.2 in the entry list with Seed #2. The 2022 WTA Finals winner Caroline Garcia and finalist Aryna Sabalenka take the fourth and fifth spots with Seed #4 and Seed #5 respectively.

A teenage sensation and 2022 French Open finalist Coco Gauff is seeded #7. Jessica Pegula, Maria Sakkari, Daria Kasatkina, Veronika Kudermetova, and Madison Keys are also in the Top 10. Belinda Bencic and Paula Badosa are seeded #11 and #12 respectively. The 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina is seeded #22.

Besides Coco Gauff, young players such as Amanda Anisimova and Qinwen Zheng have also been able to get seeded for the tournament. Veterans such as Petra Kvitova and Victoria Azarenka are also on the list of players with respective seeds. Ajla Tomljanovic is the last-seeded player on the list with Seed #32.

The 2021 Australian Open champion Naomi Osaka and 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu are not seeded. However, they did manage to get their names on the entry list. The 2021 US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez is also on the entry list unseeded. Harriet Dart is placed in the Alternates list.

However, shockingly, Romanian tennis professional Simona Halep is not included in any of the lists. It is unlikely that she will get a clean chit from the authorities by the start of the season. Besides her, 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams and the defending champion Ashleigh Barty will also be missed by tennis fans as they retired in 2022.
