Iga Swiatek is back in her ruthless form and rhythm as she takes the Qatar Ladies Open trophy by storm. In the process, she also matches an incredible record of Chris Evert.

Iga Swiatek won the Qatar Ladies Open in style. She also took the revenge for her loss in the United Cup 2023 against Jessica Pegula by beating her 6-3, 6-0 in two sets. However, the most important aspect of this victory is her incredible performance in Doha.
She equaled the long-time record of tennis legend Chris Evert who won the Tokyo Lion Cup title in 1985 and lost only 5 games in the whole tournament. Iga Swiatek too lost only five games in her victorious run at the Qatar Ladies Open.

Chris Evert get a mention in this list four times. Besides her victory in 1985 at Tokyo, previously, she won a competition in Lugano in 1981 and the Tokyo Lion Cup in 1982 and lost only 7 games in her way to a podium finish. She also won the Key Biscayne tournament in 1986 and only lost 10 games in the whole tournament.
Isabel Cueto won a competition in Athens in 1988 and only lost 7 games in the whole tournament. Conchita Martinez is next on the list who won a competition in Hamburg in 1995 and only lost 7 games in the whole tournament. Steffi Graf and Monica Seles are next on the list and lost only 8 games during their victorious run. While the German won in Mahwah in 1988, Seles won in Houston in 1992. She also won in Tampa losing only 10 games in the whole tournament in 1990.
Martina Navratilova got a mention twice in this list. She won the Tokyo Lion Cup in 1983 and in Washington losing only 10 games in each of the two competitions. Martina Hingis too is mentioned twice. She won in Filderstadt and s Hertogenbosch in 2000 by losing only 10 and 11 games respectively. The last name on the list is Elena Likhovtseva who won the Forest Hills Open in 2004 losing only 11 games in her campaign.
