World No.1 Iga Swiatek continues her dominance over sixth seed Coco Gauff as the two-time French Open winner marches on to the semifinal at Roland Garros. In a one-sided contest, Swiatek decimated her opponent in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

The match was a repeat of their final encounter a year ago, which too went in the Polish star’s favor. Swiatek will now go up against 14th-seed Beatriz Haddad Maia, who produced an upset of a win against Ons Jabeur to progress to her maiden Grand Slam final. The Brazilian came back from a set down to upstage Jabeur 3-6, 7-6, 6-1 in an earlier semifinal played at Court Philippe Chartier.

The three-time Major winner now leads a whopping 14-0 against Gauff in terms of sets, which means in the seven matches she has won against the American, Swiatek hasn’t lost a single set.

As expected, Twitter is abuzz with yet another drubbing of Gauff at the hands of Swiatek. Netizens have vehemently criticized the American teen for throwing in the towel every time she faces Swiatek, and not giving any fight whatsoever. Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here’s what fans have to say:

On the other hand, people have hailed Swiatek’s performance and are convinced that she is taking the crown home again from Roland Garros. Some have even predicted the final to be between Swiatek and second seed Aryna Sabalenka.

Burt before Swiatek does all of that, she has to cross one more barrier in the form of Beatriz Haddad Maia. The Brazilian now for the fourth consecutive time has won a match in the third set and is looking pretty confident with her game right now. Swiatek will have to be at her absolute best to overcome the challenge and make it to Saturday’s final on Court Philippe Chartier.
