It is good news for tennis fans globally, as the Polish tennis player, Iga Swiatek, was found to be the most searched female athlete on Google. The second and third positions are taken by American Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu.

Iga Swiatek most recently won the China Open, taking her title count to five this season. The World No. 2 recently became the most searched female athlete on the Google search engine following her successful season and career so far. This estimate comes between the time periods of September 2022 and August 2023.

Iga Swiatek topped the charts on Google as she was searched for approximately 15.6 million searches, followed by Coco Gauff (10.6 million) and Emma Raducanu (9.6 million searches). This came as a slap to all those who questioned Iga Swiatek and called her unmarketable for not getting many sponsorship deals like the other players.

Iga Swiatek won the French Open this year and has also established herself as a competitor on the hard court after clinching the US Open last year. The Polish won five titles this year, and her only shocking defeat came against Jelena Ostapenko in the round of 16.

Iga Swiatek will next contest at the WTA Finals in Mexico

Iga Swiatek, after a successful China Open, will now look to end the year on a high and perform her best in the WTA Finals in Mexico. Last year, she played well up to the semi-final round, where she was ousted by Aryna Sabalenka.

Iga will look to make a stronger comeback this time around. The tournament is scheduled to begin on October 29th. The World No. 2 does not have such a good stat playing in Mexico, as she lost two of the three matches she played in Guadalajara in 2021.
