Tommy Paul and Daniil Medvedev will lock horns in the first semifinal of the 2024 Indian Wells for a spot in the final of the ATP 1000 event.

Out of the total of 128 athletes who participated in the Indian Wells on the men’s side of things, only the top four now remain, and the battle for the trophy will be sensational. 

The winner of this match will face the winner of the other semifinal between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, which is hands down the most anticipated match of the tournament so far. Thus, whoever wins the match between Medvedev and Tommy Paul will be up against a strong contender in the final.

Both Tommy Paul and Daniil Medvedev have had great campaigns in the tournament so far. Tommy Paul won his first three matches against Alex Michelsen, Ugo Humbert, and Luca Nardi, respectively, in straight sets.

His convincing victory against Luca Nardi was particularly impressive, as the youngster had just defeated Novak Djokovic in the round before that. He then beat Casper Ruud in the quarterfinals in three sets.

Daniil Medvedev, on the other hand, has faced slightly tougher opponents in the tournament so far. He defeated Roberto Carballes Baena, Sebastian Korda, Grigor Dimitrov, and Holger Rune, respectively, to reach the semifinals. Apart from the match against Sebastian Korda, Medvedev won all the other matches in straight sets.
