Jannik Sinner is currently in the form of his life. He is still unbeaten in 2024 and has now beaten Jiri Lehecka in the quarterfinal of the 2024 Indian Wells to make it to the last four of the competition.
Before the Indian Wells, he took part in the Australian Open and ATP Rotterdam this year and ended up winning both trophies. This itself is enough proof to show the impeccable form that Sinner is currently in.

Sinner’s parents were present in the stands to witness his victory over Lehecka. After the match was over, the Italian was asked how much contribution his dad, who is a chef at a restaurant named Ski Lodge in Italy, had to him becoming the great tennis player that he now is.
The 2024 Australian Open winner sarcastically said that he doesn’t want to give his father much credit. However, he mentioned that he appreciates and loves the time that he spends with his family.
I don’t want to give him too much credit. As I said it’s just special for me to have him here. I didn’t have much time to spend with him in the last years. Also with my family. Every moment I have with him is really nice. He’s an incredible chef, but also an amazing dad. That for me is much more important.Sinner in the on-court interview
The Italian will now face Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinal. It is perhaps going to be the best match of the tournament so far as the World No. 2 and World No. 3 will lock horns in a thrilling encounter. Alcaraz is the defending champion of the Indian Wells which makes things even more interesting.
Jannik Sinner talks about his growing rivalry against Carlos Alcaraz
Sinner and Alcaraz are undoubtedly two of the best ‘next generation’ players on the tour currently and their rivalry got spicy when the Italian won his first Grand Slam in the 2024 Australian Open. Ahead of their upcoming match in the Indian Wells semifinal, Sinner agreed to the fact that a rival like Alcaraz pushes him to get better and improve his game.

Yeah, for sure. I think every player, when you struggle to win or to beat, you have a point where you have to work on. There is not only Carlos. There are other players what made me grow as a player. When you reach this kind of level then, you have to work again for different stuff.Sinner said in the post match conference
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have faced each other a total of eight times and they have four wins each in head-to-head matches. The winner of this match will face the winner of the other semifinal, between Tommy Paul and Daniil Medvedev/ Holger Rune.
