Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner recently teased his upcoming collaboration with Formula 1 with a video that he posted on his social media accounts. The capacity, type, or extent of the collaboration is not known yet, but it will be revealed by both sides soon.

Honoured to be given the opportunity to work with the best in motorsports, @F1! Excited for the future and the fun projects we will work together on, forza!
Sinner captioned the video

In a statement that Formula 1 released on their website, the Italian praised them highly and said that F1 was in his blood. Indeed, Italy is very closely related to the sport, and legends like Alberto Ascari, Nino Farina, Riccardo Patrese, and Luigi Fagioli are all Italians. Sinner mentioned that he feels ‘honoured’ to be given this opportunity by the F1.

Being Italian, F1 is in my blood, so I couldn’t be more excited to be working with not only the best brand in motorsports, but the best sports platform in the world. I am honoured to be given this opportunity and truly thrilled to be a Friend of F1.

Jannik Sinner reveals why he loves F1

Sinner said in his statement that he feels that there is a lot of synergy between tennis and Formula 1, and that is what makes the sport even more thrilling for him. In both sports, it’s all about the 1%, and small details make a big difference.

One of the main reasons why I love F1, whether that’s watching, karting with my friends, or racing in a simulator, is because I feel there’s a lot of synergies between tennis and racing. I feel that in both sports it’s all about the 1% and it’s the small details that make a huge difference

Jannik finds it fascinating how the teams keep on improving their cars and the drivers keep on honing their skills to beat their rivals by a fraction of a millisecond. All this is done week in and week out with tremendous pressure at the highest level.
