No.2 seed at the ongoing Miami Open Jannik Sinner brought his fine form back after overcoming a minor hurdle in his previous outing. The Italian was so in the zone during his third-round match that he accidentally hit his physiotherapist’s jewels.

The Italian was up against Christopher O’Connell for a spot in the quarter-finals and brought his A-game back to beat the Australian ace in straight sets. However, the incident involving Sinner and his physiotherapist cracked up everyone.

While receiving a serve in the second set, Sinner had tried to poke at the tennis ball, which caught the tip of the racket. The imperfect hit sent the ball straight to Sinner’s physiotherapist and hit him in exactly the wrong place.

Jannik Sinner did not notice this initially, but then later went to him, and they shared a small laugh. The Miami crowd joined in, as Sinner was left grinning.

In the end, the Italian won 6-4, 6-3 to enter yet another tournament quarter-finals. Sinner now has 19 wins in three months, with only one loss, as he aims to extend his win/lose record.

This time around, it was a fan who had fainted due to the challenging conditions during Sinner’s match against Christopher O’Connell. The rest of the spectators tried to help out the person, causing a brief halt in the play. Sinner was also quick to move, as he passed on bottles of water and juices along with a couple of towels to help the fainted person.

Furthermore, Sinner went back to get an ice pack for the fan, speaking volumes about his compassionate nature. The fan was indeed better, and the play resumed. Just like that, Sinner switched back to his focus mode and quickly finished the match and booked his spot in the quarter-finals.
