The very exciting Rotterdam Finals saw yet another Jannik Sinner magic as the young talent took on Alex De Minaur for the title. The Italian continues his hard-court frenzy as he extends his winning streak to the next tournament as well. 

After some remarkable performances in Melbourne, the 22-year-old brought his A game to Rotterdam as well.

He was up against the in-form De Minaur, who is off to some great wins in the tournament. From the get-go, both players gave each other tight competition for every point. Going back and forth, the atmosphere in the stadium was very tight as the audience fixated on the ball moving from one side of the court to another.

Both players did not give an inch in the first set, as they defended their service games with all they had. The first set took out all the gas from the players, who even played a 34-shot rally that got them a huge round of cheers from the fans. Sinner surprisingly converted a breakpoint, giving him the lead in the first set before closing it out and taking a 1-0 lead in the finals.

However, De Minaur wasn’t going down without a fight, as he tried to fight his way back in the next set. The second set had more drama, with both players breaking each other. However, it was the Italian who held his serve and eventually closed out the match 7-5, 6-4 to win his second title in a row.

In an all-exciting final between Jannik Sinner and Alex De Minaur, both players gave it their all to produce a great final that closed out the Rotterdam Open.

Sinner was up against a tough opponent in the form of De Minaur, who had played great tennis to reach the finals. Even after giving a strong fight, the Australian wasn’t able to outsmart Sinner and eventually fell to the Italian 7-5, 6-4. After last year’s failed attempt at the title, Sinner got back stronger and reached his second consecutive final in Rotterdam to win the title. 

With this win, he surpassed Daniil Medvedev to reach a career-high ranking of World No. 3. Following the Australian Open triumph, the 22-year-old closed out the gap, and with the Russian not playing in Rotterdam, Sinner took the opportunity to get the remaining points and advance one spot higher.
