Italian tennis prodigy Jannik Sinner is climbing new heights every day. The 22-year-old recently won the China Open, and Austria Open and then also reached the finals of the 2023 ATP Finals. To top it off, Sinner won the 2023 Davis Cup for his nation beating Alex de Minaur and Novak Djokovic on his way to the title. These impactful performances have won Sinner praise from Lleyton Hewitt.
The Australian captain who ended up on the wrong side of the result was full of praise for the youngster lauding him for his finesse on the court. Hewitt claimed that the conditions suited Sinner perfectly which made things even more difficult for his opponents.

As Sinner beat the World No.1 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, Hewitt was full of praise for the 22-year-old. The Australian said that Sinner proved why he is among the top players in the world at the moment.
Sinner played great all week. In recent weeks, he has shown why he is one of the 3 or 4 best players in the world. He confirmed what he did on Saturday against Novak (Djokovic). I think the conditions and the surface suit him perfectly, which made life quite difficult for us. He is a player who has a lot to accomplish in his career.Lleyton Hewitt said at the post-match press conference.
Jannik Sinner ends the season on a high
Jannik Sinner had a fantastic 2023 season as the Italian claimed four singles titles including an ATP Masters title and maintained a win-loss record of 64-15. Sinner reached the semifinals at The Championships while missing out on the quarterfinals at the 2023 US Open by a whisker (due to injury).

While Sinner faced criticism and was even alleged to prioritize money over playing for his country after he opted out of the group stage of the 2023 Davis Cup Finals citing injury concerns, the 22-year-old proved all his critics wrong with a befitting comeback in Magala. Sinner won all of his matches in the last leg of the tournament, beating Tallon Griekspoor in the quarterfinals, Novak Djokovic in the semis, and de Minaur in the final.
With this win in Magala, the Italian ended his 2023 season on a high where he reached his maiden ATP Finals final in second attempt. The Italian is happy about his performance and credited his teammates for this win. Sinner talked about the importance of pushing each other and claimed it helped his team pip Australia in the summit clash.
