It has been a very difficult last couple of months for the 19-year-old American superstar, Coco Gauff who has finally found her form back and shocked the entire world after getting her hands on her first ever Grand Slam title at the US Open. At the post-match on-court interview, Gauff took a dig at her haters and thanked the people who just didn’t believe in her to go all the way.
Tennis pundit John McEnroe has delivered his hate to those people about not holding the back of such a talent and rather pulling her down. He has questioned the people who were thinking that Gauff was never gonna make it to a Grand Slam title and bashed them relentlessly. McEnroe disagreed with these people and felt that Coco had been performing quite well in the last few months leading up to the tournament.
McEnroe said, “I heard Coco talking about the people who were writing her off and saying that she was never going to win a major. Who were those people? I’m not familiar with those people because I think her progress has been steady. It has been really positive, and she was in the final of the French. Okay, so there were a couple of stumbling blocks along the way, but I don’t think anyone didn’t think she was going to win a bunch of majors.”
What did Coco Gauff say about the people who didn’t believe in her?

It’s always a tough time for any superstar to live with the hate and the harsh comments of the fans but every single sports star waits for their time for redemption to reply back in a similar fashion.
Coco Gauff shared in the on-court interview how tough it was for her to go through the moment when people pulled he back down despite performing and then at last she had the last laugh winning the US Open title against all odds.
Gauff said at the on-court interview after the match, “Thank you for the people who didn’t believe in me. To those who thought they were putting water on my fire, they were adding gas to it. Now I’m burning so bright right now.” She also added that these very people have been vital on her way to the top and thanked them at last taking a funny dig at them.
