Russian tennis ace Andrey Rublev got himself in big trouble for allegedly swearing at the line judge. During his semifinal match against Alexander Bublik at the Dubai Tennis Championships, Rublev lost his cool when a call was made against him. The Russian shouted in the line judge’s face which led to his disqualification from the tournament.

This incident gained a lot of traction with people sharing their opinions. Current and former tennis players also shared their views on the incident and the punishment Rublev received. Players like Nick Kyrgios sided with the Russian saying the punishment was too harsh.

French tennis player Adrian Mannarino also came to Rublev’s defense expressing surprise at the entire incident. Mannarino also dragged John McEnroe, who was known for his emotional outbursts, saying if players were punished so severely for such outbursts, the former American would not have been able to finish a lot of his matches in 2024.

Omg coming out to snitch! Not sure how many matches Mc Enroe would finish in 2024.
