McEnroe expressed his dislike for pickleball recently. However, his penchant for trash talk was superseded by his desire to play at the maiden Pickleball Slam in his home country. The Slam consisted of two matches, out of which one was won by McEnroe against Andre Agassi, (15-13, 16-14). On the other hand, Chang lost to Roddick.

Agassi has even claimed that pickleball is a sport meant for retired tennis players. The four legends participated in the biggest pickleball tournament for prize money of $1 million, as well as charity. The entire Slam was ultimately won by Agassi and Roddick.
