This year, the world No 22, has had a productive outing that started with his doubles Gand Slam win in the Australian Open. In Wimbledon 2022, he shared the Center Court with Serbian great Novak Djokovic. Kyrgios was ranked outside the top 100 in January this year but climbed back to the top 30.

“I don’t play so much mixed doubles anymore but what I love about mixed doubles is, it’s for the fans. That’s the most important thing,” Kyrgios said about the event. “It’s just a great event to have, an event where females and males come together as one to represent their nation,” the 27-year-old further added.

Kyrgios also made it clear that the event is very important to him. “That’s extremely important. And for the fans. To have all the best athletes from around the world together, I think it’s a very special event,” he elaborated.
