Top Half

Defending champion Casper Ruud was seeded No.1 in the tournament but after his title triumph at Gstaad last week, Ruud withdrew from Kitzbuhel this week. 5th seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas replaces him at the top of the draw and gets a first-round bye. He will face either Carlos Taberner or Juan Pablo Varillas in the Round of 16 and is expected to face Pedro Martinez in the quarterfinal who opens against Nicolas Jarry. Martinez will face either Cristian Garin or Federico Coria in the second round.
Roberto Bautista Agut, courtesy of a first-round bye, will be up against Jurij Rodionov or Hernan Casanova in the second round and is drawn against Joao Sousa who is seeded 8th. Sousa will face a qualifier Vit Kopriva in the first round. Jiri Lehecka and Thiago Monteiro are also in the second quarter of the draw with the winner facing Bautista Agut in the Round of 16.

Dominic Thiem, the crowd favorite, is also in the bottom half and will open against lucky loser Alexander Shevchenko. He will then face either Richard Gasquet or Sebastian Ofner.
