The Kooyong Classic, a small tournament ahead of the prestigious Australian Open features some of the tennis stars like Jannik Sinner, Holger Rune, Andy Murray, and more. The 2-3 day event readies the audience for the Australian Open and players usually build their form in this tournament.

Recently, the Kooyong Classic was on the receiving end of a troll from a tennis commentator Jose Morgado as they made a silly error with the stats of Paula Badosa. In an X post informing the participation of the Spaniard, they wrongly wrote the stats triggering a plethora of reactions from fans and tennis enthusiasts. The tennis commentator quote Tweeted the post titled “The former world number 2 will US Open Champion will be in action this week:”

After being sidelined for almost a year, Badosa made a return to tennis at the Adelaide International. She had a forgetful outing at that tournament due to a first-round exit. However, the former World No.2 will participate in the Kooyong Classic ahead of the Australian Open. Along with her, even Emma Raducanu is set to play after her decent run at the ASB Classic.

Suffering from a stress fracture on her back, Spanish star Paula Badosa was out of tennis for most of the year. She made a return to the fixture at the Adelaide Open and suffered a first-round exit. However, in a recent interview, Tsitsipas turned down all the speculations stating that he won’t team up with his girlfriend at the Australian Open.
