Latest WTA rankings post the 2022 WTA Finals: Caroline Garcia and Aryna Sabalenka break into Top-5, Iga Swiatek breaches 11,000 mark

The Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia jumped two places by winning the 2022 WTA Finals title as she defeated the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka 7-6 (7-4), 6-4. She earned 1375 points for her incredible performance in the tournament. She is now ranked No.4 in the WTA Rankings.
There was no difference in the Top 3. Iga Swiatek was outstanding throughout the tournament as she reached the semi-final round, but was defeated by Aryna Sabalenka. Despite her loss in the semi-final, she gained +750 points and will finish the season as World No.1 with over 11000 points. Ons Jabeur gained 500 points and kept her World No.2 rank.
Jessica Pegula will end the year at No.3 as she earned 375 points for her performance in the WTA Finals. She will also be ranked as the No.1 American on the list. Aryna Sabalenka also received 955 points for her heroics throughout the tournament and jumped two places to No.5. Maria Sakkari played the semi-final match against Caroline Garcia. Hence, she earned 750 points but had to drop one place to No.6.
Coco Gauff had a terrible tournament, as she could not win a single match. However, her participation in the prestigious season-ending tournament was enough to help her gain 375 points. However, her WTA ranking took a beating, and she dropped to No.7. Daria Kasatkina was another participant in the 2022 WTA Finals who earned 500 points. She remained at No.8. Veronika Kudermetova and Simona Halep completed the Top 10, taking the ninth and tenth positions, respectively.

American tennis sensation Madison Keys took the No. 11 spot. Meanwhile, the Swiss Belinda Bencic jumped one place above to No.12. Paula Badosa lost an important 8 points, which was enough to push her one place down to No.13.
Danielle Collins took the No.14 spot and fourth American on the list. Brazilian tennis player Beatriz Haddad Maia is standing at No.15 as Petra Kvitova and Anett Kontaveit took the sixteenth-and seventeenth positions, respectively. Only four points difference is between the two personalities.
Jelena Ostapenko is ranked No.18 while Ekaterina Alexandrova is ranked No.19 in the world. Liudmila Samsonova finishes the Top 20 by taking the No.20 rank. She is also the fourth Russian in the Top 20. Wimbledon Champion Elena Rybakina is languishing at No.22. Meanwhile, veteran Victoria Azarenka jumped one place above to No.27 in the latest WTA rankings.
The WTA 2022 season is officially over. The 2023 season will start soon and expectations are at an all-time high from all these ladies, as they would battle it out to bag some of the most prestigious titles.
