Leander Paes, Carlos Moya and Ana Ivanovic lead the nominees for induction into the Tennis Hall of Fame, complete list released
The International Tennis Hall of Fame lists down the nominees of this year.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame has revealed its list of nominees for induction. The list includes India’s doubles champion Leander Paes, the 1998 French Open winner Carlos Moya, and former world No. 1 Ana Ivanovic.
The non-profit organization is located in Rhode Island, United States. It contains 13 grass tennis courts, a museum, three outdoor hard courts, one green clay court, a court tennis facility, and a theater. Its main objective is to preserve and celebrate the legacy of tennis. The organization also aims to inspire the sport of tennis across the world.
The eligibility criteria for getting nominated for singles and doubles players are different. For the singles players, they should have won at least three major singles titles and been World Number 1 for at least 13 total weeks. The other option for them is to have five major singles titles.
On the other hand, the doubles players should have at least 12 major doubles titles and should spend at least 52 weeks as World Number 1. Their other option is to win at least 15 major doubles titles.
Leander Paes has won 18 doubles Grand Slam titles. Carlos Moya has spent 200 weeks in the world’s top ten rankings and has also achieved the honor of being World No. 1. Ana Ivanovic has been World No. 1 and has spent 91 weeks in the world’s top five rankings.

Famous players who have been nominated for the Hall of Fame
Many players over the years have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. One of them includes former US Open champion Andy Roddick. The American has one grand slam title to his name, which led him to become world No. 1. The 41-year-old became a member of the Hall of Fame in 2017.
Another famous player in the Hall of Fame is Goran Ivanisevic. Besides being current World No. 1 Novak Djokovic’s coach, he was also a formidable player in the early 2000s. Ivanisevic won the Wimbledon title in 2001. The Croatian received this honor recently, in 2020. He has faced other legendary Hall of Fame members like Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi.
Among the women, a recent inductee has been the legendary player Martina Hingis. She was inducted in 2013. The Swiss player has won five grand slam titles and been World No. 1 for 209 weeks.
