The French Open 2022 will kick off on the 22nd of May and will conclude on the 5th of June promising to bring an action-packed fortnight where top players in the sport will grind it out in the dirt, quite literally. This year’s tournament will be the 126th edition of the Grand Slam.
This year’s edition will have 20-time Grand Slam champion World No. 1 Novak Djokovic as the defending champion in the men’s singles having won his second French Open title last year. In the women’s singles, World No. 2 Barbora Krejcikova will defend her first-ever singles title that she won in the 2021 edition having earlier won the Grand Slam in Women’s Doubles discipline.
