Iga Swiatek was not able to go far at Wimbledon as the Pole lost her third-round encounter with Alize Cornet, ending her 37-match win-streak. Though Swiatek never looked comfortable on grass, it was quite an easy win for Cornet and Iga would like to improve on the surface if she dreams of winning Wimbledon. This loss was not very shocking for Iga herself as her weapons were misfiring and a sudden change in playing style never works out well. She took some time after Wimbledon to cool down and reset before the next phase of the tour begins.

Swiatek went to an Adele concert in London to enjoy herself after a grueling period of winning tournaments and having to defend her streak, which stands as the highest after the year 2000. Swiatek loved the performance and she posted a picture on Twitter of the concert and wrote: “Absolutely incredible night. Thank you for all the emotions. One of the best memories of the year.”

In a reply to this tweet, a user asked her if she were to choose between Rafael Nadal and Adele, which one would it be. It’s a known fact that Swiatek adores Rafa and is his huge fan. She was present at his stupendous, somewhat miraculous victory at the Australian Open 2022. She has always named Rafa as her idol and inspiration. She also enjoys music a lot and it was certainly a difficult question. But, Swiatek came up with a witty response to this tricky question. She responded: “Too complicated. I would need to listen to Rafa singing and see Adele playing tennis. And that would be interesting.”

Swiatek will look to bounce back as the hard court season begins and she would set her eyes on the US Open 2022. The world number would like to improve her record from the fourth-round appearance at the US Open and try to string up another streak to get some more titles under her belt in 2022.
