Retired tennis star Martina Navratilova took a brutal dig at a recent video that Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy posted on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account. The video featured him practicing tennis without wearing a t-shirt.
Navratilova has made it clear time and again that she is against the Republicans and everything they stand for. Her constant criticisms aimed at Donald Trump and his actions show that clearly.
Vivek Ramaswamy, the Republican presidential candidate for the USA, posted a video of him playing tennis in the morning without wearing a t-shirt. It was obviously met with mixed reactions from Americans. A political satirist named Jeremy Newberger, for example, wrote, “My wife and kids all play tennis. My wife is even captain of a team heading to the Nationals. I go to a lot of matches to cheer them on. Call me crazy, but people playing tennis usually wear shirts.”
It was in this context that Navratilova replied and wrote, “That’s one ugly forehand. I especially like the small stutter steps that take Vivek nowhere 🙂 I wonder if that could be an analogy for his politics.” The tennis legend’s dislike of the Republican Party is a known fact. The recent incident highlights the same.
Martina Navratilova gets into a feud with the trans community
Navratilova recently took a bold stance against the trans community, stating that what they are currently doing with kids is a bit too much and highly unnecessary. In a recent incident in Chicago, a mother was bereft of her daughter’s custody when the 12-year-old suddenly started claiming that she was transgender and that she felt unsafe with her mother.
“This is just so wrong… trans went from 0.02% of population to going through the roof, statistically speaking. We are literally talking thousands of children into thinking they are trans… and taking them away from supportive parents- insane,” Navratilova wrote on her X account, calling this out.
The 18-time singles Grand Slam winner has been at loggerheads with the transgender community for a while now.
