Meghan Cortez-Fields, a student at the New Jersey Liberal Arts College, recently broke her college’s record in the women’s 100-yard butterfly swimming event. She was a part of the men’s team for three years and recently became a part of their women’s team after transitioning into a female. Many netizens have openly spoken against this and one of the biggest names among them is tennis legend Martina Navratilova.
The tennis legend has always been very vocal about her stand against the participation of males who transitioned into females in the women’s category of any sport. She has suggested the formulation of a different category for transgenders to solve this problem, as the status quo is extremely disadvantageous and, in fact, unfair to women.

Former NCAA swimmer joins Martina Navratilova in criticising Meghan Cortez-Fields
Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines, who was in the limelight regarding another case of a trans swimmer winning first place about a year ago, has also openly criticized Meghan Cortez-Fields. She called it an injustice to allow underperforming male athletes to become record-breaking female athletes.
Those who choose to remain blind to the injustice of allowing mediocre male athletes to become record-breaking female athletes are either incompetent or misogynists. There is no in between anymore.Gaines told Fox News
Martina Navratilova had spoken up even when Riley Gaines was denied her first place due to a trans swimmer. The tennis legend voices her opinions on all the important matters around the world, especially in the USA. Her stances against trans women in Sports and against Donald Trump are pretty well known.
