The state of Georgia has come out with a new absentee ballot deadline, and a new conflict between TV and theater workers brought out a major problem with it.
Tennis legend Martina Navratilova brought the situation to the attention of her fans by sharing a news article on her X account. She accused the Georgia government of suppressing votes by using subtle ways like this.

The International Alliance Theater Employee Union, which is the largest union representing people working in the entertainment industry, filed a lawsuit against Georgia’s new deadline on absentee ballots for presidential elections.
They stated that it violates Section 202(d) of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), which states that a person must be allowed to cast absentee votes if they are applied seven days before the elections. Thus, they ask that the deadline be reduced from 11 to 7 days.
For the uninitiated, the absentee ballot is a postal vote that is mailed in advance in case a person is not able to attend the elections physically. The theatre workers have said due to their line of work they have to travel physically and thus many of them might need to use the absentee ballot. Thus, this deadline date becomes troublesome for them.

However, many of her fans have disagreed with her stand on this issue, as they pointed out that Georgia’s voting standards are more lenient than those of many states in the northeast and that Georgia had the largest voter turnout in history during the last election cycle.
Martina Navratilova called Donald Trump a hypocrite in recent tweet
Martina Navratilova is very openly anti-Trump, and she has made her stand for the upcoming elections clear. She does not shy away from criticizing the former President of the United States of America at any opportunity that he gets, and recently, she called him a hypocrite and an atheist.

It was reported that over 150 pastors and faith leaders from across Iowa have endorsed Donald Trump and that a group of them prayed over to him recently before him taking the stage in the Cedar Rapids. Navratilova said this was hypocritical, as Trump is an atheist.
What a joke. I mean Trump is the biggest atheist out there- not that there is anything wrong with that- pretending he is God's gift. She wrote
