American tennis legend Martina Navratilova is a stern advocate of the rights of people belonging to the LGBT community. She has many times raised her voice in support of the individuals who belong to this group and has also brought to light aspects of social discrimination many times. However, when it comes to participation of transgender people in sports, she has always made her stand clear.

She does not support the stand of transgender women to compete against females in any sport. Her opinions again came to light when she shared a recent news article which informs that transgender women are allowed to participate in the USA powerlifting competition.
