Former tennis player Martina Navratilova took to Twitter (Now called X) to once again establish her opinion on trans-women in women’s sports. She had asked the general public to boycott the authorities who make these decisions. However, this was met with resistance from a particular X user who accused her of voting for the Democrats, who are the main authority for allowing trans women in women’s categories.

As a response to said accusation, another user defended the tennis legend by explaining that the Democrats would eventually see the folly of their position. According to this other user, the Donald Trump led Republicans wish to impose a “Christofacist theocracy” on the United States. The initial user, however, was not satisfied with this justification. He claimed that all women will have to give up their rights in the wait for the Democrats to realize that they are wrong.

To this, the former World No.1 responded, “I am sorry – under the Republicans, women lost their autonomy – nothing is more important than that. Repubs are anti-trans- so try again.” According to the American, women were forced to give up their independence and autonomy under the Republicans. She also established that autonomy was the most important requirement for women under any government.

Martina Navratilova has always been clear about her stand on trans women in women’s sporting categories. However, her comments on social media have always been met with public scrutiny and criticism. Nevertheless, these public uproars do not seem to make the American waver from her opinion on the matter.

Matina Navratilova reveals she might never vote for the Republicans

Martina Navratilova reveals that she would never vote for the Republicans the way they are now. She concluded by saying that it is a very real possibility that she might never vote for the Republicans, since according to the American, the Republicans are anti-gay.

While the tennis legend was accused of not practicing what she preached, she had made it a point to correct the user. “The Republicans are not pro-women on this issue – Roe vs. Wade in point – Republicans are anti-trans,” she said.

The 18-time Grand Slam champion also established that her vote does not depend on just a single issue. While it is impossible for all of the party’s agendas to align with her personal beliefs, she made it clear that a few points of disagreement were not going to affect her choice of vote. “I am not a one-issue voter. Will not vote Republican the way they are now, probably never,” she said.
