Martina Navratilova leaves no chance to shame the Republican party and its followers as the American tennis legend keeps taking jibes. Now, after one of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ leading campaign fund’s chief strategists Jeff Roe resigned with speculation over a scam, Navratilova took a dig at DeSantis.
Navratilova called Roff a grifter as the Florida Governor’s chief strategist gets accused of defrauding millions of dollars. The former tennis ace also claimed that a woman would not have done anything of that sort.
She looked in no mood to cut a slack as Martina Navratilova openly mocked Ron DeSantis as well as the Republicans. Navratilova also seemed to point out that such acts of grifting should not come as a surprise to the people.
Oops. Another Republican grifter- why else is new??? Failing upwards- a woman can’t do that crap..Martina Navratilova posted on X.
Notably, Jeff Roe, the chief strategist for the DeSantis-backing Super Pac Never Back Down, said he was stepping down from the massive, $269m fund that was billed as a novel application of campaign finance laws that prevent the integration of a Pac and its spending with a candidate’s campaign.
It is getting bad to worse for Ron DeSantis
Ron DeSantis who aims to become the President of the United States does not seem to have things going as per the plan. His plans are seemingly falling apart and Jeff Roe’s resignation comes as another shock for the Florida Governor.
As DeSantis prepares for his first big test in Iowa in the Republican presidential nomination race where he is competing with former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley for the second spot after Donald Trump, Roe’s resignation comes as a massive blow.
His popularity also seems to have taken a hit as DeSantis’s approval has dropped from 18% to 17% between November and December. Now, it is to be seen how he gets himself out of this muddle.
