Having earlier urged Adidas to stop sponsoring notorious rapper Kanye West (Ye) for his antisemitic remarks, tennis great Martina Navratilova has now started another tirade against him, this time admonishing him for getting “desperate” during his actions of showing up unannounced at the Los Angeles office of Sketchers with a film crew accompanying him.

The rapper, who once also launched a Presidential nomination bid, has already been banned by sponsors such as Balenciaga, Gap and Adidas for his controversial remarks.

Navratilova is known to speak on social and political issues concerning her country and beyond on Twitter. The American former tennis star seemed to be most strongly criticizing the recent anti-abortion legislation and also some supporters of the last Donald Trump government who were trying to negate his role in the ill-famed January 6 Capitol riots incident.

Navratilova was one of the many people to show support for Adidas. For context, the German sportswear and accessory company ended its partnership with American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, for recently making antisemitic remarks.

West received massive backlash from not only Jews but other communities as well for his comments. With Adidas now parting ways, Navratilova took to her Twitter account to show her support for the decision. “Dominoes Kanye, dominoes… And well done @adidas !!!”

Adidas’ detailed statement read, “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect, and fairness.

West is yet to comment on the canceled deals. With suspensions and bans on him from social media networks and with him currently being one of the biggest villains for common citizens, it will be in West’s interest to not try to defend himself.
