Former tennis star Martina Navratilova is very active on X with a mind of her own. She doesn’t shy away from stating her opinions boldly on various topics, ranging from sports to politics, feminism to transgender participation in women’s spaces and much more. The 67-year-old has time and again expressed her dislike for the former US President Donald Trump. This time, Navratilova once again took a brutal dig at him hinting at the former First Lady of the United States Melania Trump‘s relationship with her husband.
Donald Trump has been found liable for sexual assault and harassment and was even faced with rape charges in recent years. Reportedly, he also allegedly has indulged in several extramarital affairs. However, his wife, Melania Trump, chose not to speak much on the subject and usually kept away from the media indulging in their lives.
On the other hand, Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton chose to defend her husband, former US President Bill Clinton, after his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky became public. So, amidst the media questioning why she did not leave her husband when the truth was revealed, Martina Navratilova, who has often supported the Democrats, asked why the media only questioned Clinton and not Melania Trump about the allegations.
How come the reporters asked her (Hillary Clinton) a million times why she didn't leave her cheating husband, but nobody asked her (Melania Trump) the same?Martina Navratilova’s post on X read

Martina Navratilova once again opposes trans women’s participation in women’s sports
Martina Navratilova has been vocal about why she doesn’t want trans athletes’ participation in women’s sports, and because of this she has earned the ‘transphobic‘ tag from many allies on X. However, not putting a penny to their beliefs, Navratilova continues to advocate the exclusion of trans athletes in female sports, which she believes poses for an unfair disadvantage to cis-women.
Recently, a user on X wrote about how he thinks there aren’t many trans athletes in women’s sports. This observation by that user irked Navratilova, and she pointed out how thousands of trans athletes are participating in competitions and winning as well.
You're right- are not hundreds of trans athletes competing-there are thousands and winning hundreds of competitions- stick to talking about things you know about- sports is not it.Martina Navratilova tweeted
