Tennis legend Martina Navratilova does not look too impressed with the performances the current Top 10 players have put in the recent past. A lot of fuss is being made regarding the next generational tennis stars as the Big 3 are finally going through the last gasps of their career. With Roger Federer already retired, and Rafael Nadal out for a long time owing to his knee injury, it will not be long until we see Novak Djokovic bid the sport a final goodbye very soon.

World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz has already announced himself as one of the future stars with many expecting him to even cross the Big 3 in terms of Grand Slams by the time he hits 30. Other talents such as Casper Ruud, Jannik Sinner, Taylor Fritz, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Frances Tiafoe who have been expected by many to take the torch ahead, have flopped badly in the last few months. None of them except Fritz at the Tokyo Open has won a single ATP 500 title with tennis legend Martina Navratilova seems to look disappointed with them.

Carlos Alcaraz has proved himself to be one of the next generational stars and renounced himself as one of the torchbearers of the future of the sport. Having already won two Grand Slam titles at the age of just 20, and so many other ATP 500 titles as well, he looks all set to wrap up more Slams in the future. Having beaten Djokovic recently at the Wimbledon final ending his five-year-long reign at the competition, many fans feel that the Serbian’s career is finally in its final stages.

Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here’s what fans have to say.

And very few fans believe that Alcaraz will have any competition in the future as none of the Top 10 stars seems close to the Spaniard in terms of skillset, hunger for titles, or determination. With both Nadal and Novak speaking volumes about the youngster, and many pundits considering him to have 25-30 Grand Slam titles by the end of his career, only time will tell if he will deliver and live up to his expectations or not.
