Martina Navratilova, the 65-year-old Czech-American former tennis professional is widely regarded as one of the greatest female tennis players of all time. With 18 grand slam titles to her name, Navratilova has etched her name among the all-time greats of the sport who have defined an entire generation of tennis.
After her retirement, Navratilova became quite active as a social activist. She is often seen speaking up about social issues that plague our society. Navratilova is often seen capturing the headlines due to her controversial takes but the tennis legend stays true to what she believes in and that has gained her a lot of popularity.
Recently Navratilova took to Twitter to call out people who posted a picture with a dead leopard. The tennis legend called them out for smiling in the picture with an animal that they just killed. She wrote, “These loser assholes are grinning after killing such a majestic big cat- a fabulous leopard- I really hate these cowardly psychopaths…“

Martina Navratilova has spoken up about many issues. The tennis legend has been quite vocal about Novak Djokovic’s situation as well, Djokovic decided against getting vaccinated for the Coronavirus. His decision caused him to miss out on many major tournaments, the Serb was deported from Australia earlier this year and could not participate in the Australian Open. He was not allowed to participate at the US Open as well due to not being vaccinated.
Martina Navratilova despite being a big fan of Djokovic opines that she does not agree with the Serb’s decision not to get vaccinated for the virus. She has gotten into many debates with fans across many social media platforms regarding the same topic. Considered a legend of the sport, Navratilova is also entitled to her own opinion but she gets a lot of heat for it on many occasions.
