Tennis legend Martina Navratilova had a cheeky one word response to Donald Trump‘s tirade against Liberal Jews. In a post wishing the Jewish community Rosh HaShanah (Jewish new Year), the former President called out the Liberal Jewish community for voting against him in 2020 elections. The 45th POTUS further went on to claim that their vote has contributed to destroying both the United States and Israel.

Responding to a screenshot of Trump’s post on his social media site ‘Truth Social’, Martina posted, “Yikes.” The 18-time Grand Slam champion doesn’t shy away from sharing her thoughts on social media. Martina is known for her left liberal views, which she shares regularly on her account.

Donald Trump is the Republican frontrunner for the US elections scheduled for next year. Various polls predict a tight race between him and the incumbent president Joe Biden. Trump enjoys strong support among the Jewish community and has championed Israel’s cause during his presidency.

Navratilova has been vocal in her dissent against Trump. This isn’t the first time she has called out the former President for his right leaning views.

Martina Navratilova’s Opinions and Leanings

Navratilova is a Democrat, and has donated more than $25,000 to Democratic campaigns. She has been a vocal critic of Republican Governments over the years. Navratilova was quoted in 2007 as being ashamed of the U.S. under President George W. Bush.

Navratilova is critical of allowing transgender women to compete in women’s sports, describing them as “failed male athletes”. In April 2023, Navratilova re-posted her support of a Nike boycott because the sporting giant entered into a corporate sponsorship with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to advertise a sports bra.

She is involved with various charities that benefit animal rights, underprivileged children, and gay rights.
