“No more Prada and Zegna for you!” Martina Navratilova makes a snarky comment to Wayne LaPierre after he’s found guilty on grounds of corruption

American tennis legend Martina Navratilova criticized the ex-leader of the National Rifle Association Wayne LaPierre on X. LaPierre was under trial after allegations were made against him about misusing the funds of NRA. On Friday, the 74-year-old was held guilty of the charges made against him.
After an X account shared this update, Navratilova was quick to react. Being an active advocate for LGBTQ rights and gun control, she retweeted the post with a bold comment against LaPierre.

This comment is a remark on the lavish lifestyle of LaPierre. The 74-year-old already had announced his resignation due to health reasons even before the trial began in the court. Even then, Navratilova had lashed out at the ex-NRA leader.
The jury has found that Wayne LaPierre had misused an amount of $4.5 million, of which he has paid just $1 million. The court has ordered the 74-year-old to pay the remaining sum of $4.35 million.
The lawsuit filed by Letita James stated that La Pierre misused millions of dollars on private jets and Bahamas tours. Besides, the lawsuit has also charged the organization for lying in the annual reports of taxation and reporting wrong income taxes.

Navratilova, besides being one of the greatest players of her time, is one of the major advocates for women and LGBTQ rights. The former American is hyperactive on her social media handles raising her voice against the unjust treatment of women. Recently, she slammed the North Carolina Pastor for defending crimes against women in short clothes.
Even though she has been highly praised for her stance, she has also received criticism from the public at stances. Especially for her alleged homophobic comments, the 18-time singles Grand Slam title winner had to face a lot of trolling on X.
