Former World No. 1 Martina Navratilova has once again made a fearless comment via her Twitter handle. The 18-time singles Grand Slam champion fired shots at India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi following his visit to a celebratory event to show the green flag for a new train.

Modi was on a visit to the state of Gujarat where the tragic incident at Morbi Bridge took place. The bridge fell down in a horrible accident claiming more than 130 lives including kids as well. The bridge was built by the British in 1875 and despite recently done maintenance, the structure collapsed in a freaky accident.

While Modi canceled some of his visits during his visit to his native state, he nevertheless made the trip to flag off a newly launched train. The move was found insensitive by many as it was just days after the accident in Morbi as survivors continue to battle their suffered injuries.

The empathy from Modi is quite something, isn’t it?” tweeted Navratilova sharing a video of the politician waiting for the ceremonial flagging off of the train. With Navratilova a regular critic of the Indian PM, the tweet became a huge topic of debate.
