As expected, The Super Bowl LVIII was a topic of discussion in various circles. Defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs narrowly edged out the San Francisco 49ers 25–22 in overtime. They became the first team since the New England Patriots in 2004 to make a successful title defense.

As expected, it was a big affair in terms of the celebrities attending it. Hollywood actors, top artists, and athletes from other sports were all in attendance for the biggest NFL game of the season. The match triggered enormous reactions globally with comparisons, debates, and of course, new memes.

One of the memes that has gone viral is the heated conversation between Chiefs’ hero Travis Kelce and the head coach Andy Reid. Kelce, who had a miserable first half, was furious for not getting passes from Patrick Mahomes when at half-time, the 49ers were leading by seven points.

Agitated by not being involved in a vital play and a crucial fumble in the red zone before the first half, Kelce was furious and got into an altercation with Reid. The image quickly became a big talking point and also became a meme template. One such meme saw Kelce berating former US president Donald Trump over his old tweet.

After the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2020, Trump sent out a congratulatory tweet. However, he made a huge blunder in it. He had referred to the Chiefs as the team from Kansas while they hail from Missouri.

With the Kelce-Reid meme going viral, an X (formerly Twitter) user quickly replaced Reid’s face with Trump. The new image then showed Kelce angrily correcting the former President over his mistake. Martina Navratilova, a strong opposer of Trump, was quick to react and enjoy his mockery.

While she had only a 1-word response to the meme, it was certainly another dig at the Republican.
