World No. 13 Taylor Fritz is currently gearing up for the second ATP Masters-1000 event of the season. Following the conclusion of the 2024 Indian Wells Masters, the action now shifts to the 2024 Miami Masters.

Fritz is seeded 12th and is the highest-ranked American in the draw. He made the fourth round in Indian Wells this year losing to Holger Rune in the fourth round. The Dane came from a set down and saved a match point to knock out Fritz. Rune won the tie 2-6, 7-6(2). 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals.

While Fritz has been hitting it out on the tennis courts, his girlfriend Morgan Riddle had to leave his side. The influencer is travelling back to Australia having signed a deal with the Australian Grand Prix. She took to her Instagram stories to confirm the agreement.

As per her story, she will be hosting and showing the best outfits at next week’s race in Melbourne. For Riddle, it will be a familiar city having spent nearly a fortnight during the 2024 Australian Open. She got on the wrong side of Aussie fans for her comment on vegemite but it was all in fun.

She however quickly put up another story to confirm she will make an immediate return to Miami to support Fritz. Being the 12th seed, he has received a bye in the first round and will begin his campaign in the second round directly. This gives Riddle enough time to wrap up her work in Melbourne and get back.

Fritz has been drawn in the bottom half of the men’s singles draw in the fifth section. He will begin his campaign against the winner of the match between Jordan Thompson and Nuno Borges.

He is 11-7 in Miami across his career. Fritz reached the quarter-finals at the event in 2023 before losing to defending champ Carlos Alcaraz. The American made his debut at the tournament back in 2016 and hasn’t missed a single edition since then.

With two first-round exits, two second-round exits, and two fourth-round exits, the former World No. 5 will look to improve his record at the prestigious event. Having made the last-8 in the previous year, Fritz will fancy a similar run and will have his confidence boosted as his lady luck will be back in time for his match.
