18-time Grand Slam champion Martina Navratilova called out the Billionaire founder Elon Musk for his alleged Dictatorial tendencies. Last night Musk lashed out at George Soros in a tweet captioned, “The Soros organization appears to want nothing less than the destruction of Western civilization.” Soros, a Hungarian-American billionaire businessman, is the founder of a left-leaning organization named Open Society Foundation.
Musk’s tweet was in response to the migrant crisis in the Sicilian island of Lampedusa, Italy. Soros advocates open borders and pro-immigration policy. Navratilova, irked by Musk’s post, wrote on ‘X’, “Musk is all in for the dictatorship and the tyranny of the minority of the #GOP.”
Lampedusa has seen an influx of migrants with 7,000 people arriving in two days, prompting its mayor and the United Nations refugee agency to warn the Italian island is becoming overwhelmed. The island – whose population is under 7,000 – has long been a first port of call for people sailing the Mediterranean Sea from North Africa and has been a flashpoint in Europe’s migration crisis.
The GOP, led by Donald Trump, is vehemently against the open borders policy of the Biden Administration. Trump, during his administration, built a wall along the southern border with Mexico to check the flow of immigrants.

Elon Musk, the owner of ‘X’, has openly expressed his discontent against Soros. Musk has blamed him for regime change operations in other countries by allegedly funding NGOs.

Martina Navratilova reiterates her thoughts on trans athletes, sparking controversy
Navratilova has been critical of allowing transgender women to compete in women’s sports, describing them as ‘failed male athletes’. In April 2023, Navratilova re-posted her support of a Nike boycott because the sporting giant entered into a corporate sponsorship with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to advertise a sports bra.
Sparking another controversy, the tennis legend resorted to Twitter to voice out her opinion on the issue. She tweeted, “Trans women are males who now identify as a woman. Fixed it for you.” She has been called ‘transphobic’ numerous times by the public for her comments on the participation of trans women in sporting events for women.
She has advocated creating a separate category for transgender athletes.
