Osaka, in the interview with ESPN, announced her return to professional tennis. While doing so, she also said that she would be playing more tournaments than she used to.

When enquired about the reason for this, she replied, “Honestly, I think that it’s because I realized that I don’t know how the beginning of the year is going to go for me. ” Osaka also said that she was not familiar with her current level of play and that she had to “ease into” the game. She explained that she is hoping for a very good end of the year and that she was setting herself up for the same.

The former World No.1 had been in her best form prior to her cutting short her season. While Osaka has not been seen back on the court ever since his withdrawal, fans will hope for her return in full fervor.
