Naomi Osaka hilariously responds to trolls following Japan’s victory over Germany at the FIFA World Cup

Former World No 1 from Japan Naomi Osaka hasn’t been consistent with her performances throughout the year. She last played at the Japan Open in Tokyo where she withdrew mid-match due to an injury concern. It ended her season abruptly with playing only 23 matches in the year year for a 14-9 record. She funnily responded to the remarks on the internet after Japan beat the 4-time champions Germany at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Though Osaka hasn’t had much of a success, she ended the year with one of the best first serve percentages. She has always stressed upon the fact that mental health and physical health should be given equal importance. True to her beliefs, she opened up about battling mental health issues and how she is learning to cope up with them which sometimes affects her game which was highly acknowledged.
In the ongoing FIFA World Cup, Japan shocked the 2014 champion team to hand them a shocking defeat with the final score as 2-1. It created an uproar on the social media and one remark caught the attention of the 4-time Grand Slam champion. The remark was like “Japan will beat you and clean up the whole place leaving the crime scene with no evidence,”. To which, the tennis player funnily reacted to the fans reaction and was quick to give in the context of the statement.
She went ahead to prove the point how the Japanese fans present in the stadium stayed behind to clean up the surroundings after the match between Japan and Germany ended. Naomi Osaka pointed out at the gracious nature of the Japanese who believe in keeping their surroundings clean as she shared the story on her Instagram account. In the first story, she gave a hilarious reaction to the remarks while in the next story, she proved the point to gave a befitting reply to the trollers.
Naomi Osaka suffers a massive financial loss since her invested cryptocurrency company crashed
The 2-time Australian Open champion is one of the many athletes to have suffered financial losses for being associated with FTX, the cryptocurrency that had a massive crash in the market affecting all of its holders. Naomi Osaka brought in an equity stake in FTX in March 2022 and was supposed to receive the compensation in crypto.
She was also supposed to be the ambassador to bring in more women, since she is a role model for many. Osaka’s deal also included making content to promote the cryptocurrency. Following that, she has been named in the class action lawsuit filed by investors for a whopping $11 billion as the company suffered nearly 70% loss.
Osaka is yet to comment on the entire situation. The 2-time US Open champion has not even addressed the issue or whether she will respect her ‘long-term deal’ and continue with FTX or she will be cutting ties following the company’s humongous losses. Though her numbers are not yet disclosed, it would definitely be an extensive amount ranging in a whooping multi-millions since she is one of the highest paid athletes in the world.
