Alexander Bublik has had a mixed season so far. After bowing out in the second round of the Australian Open, he stunned everyone by winning the Open Sud de France where he defeated Alexander Zverev in the final. What followed was an ordinary run until the French Open where he didn’t manage to win more than one match in any tournament he played. On grass in Eastbourne, he reached the quarterfinals and then made it to the third round at Wimbledon. This week, he got past the likes of Jack Sock, Any Murray, and Jason Kubler to reach his second tour final of the season.

Maxime Cressy had an amazing start to the season and brought a different flair to contemporary tennis with his serve and volley game style. He reached the final of the Melbourne Summer Set where he lost to Rafael Nadal and then made it to the fourth round of the Australian Open where he lost to Daniil Medvedev. He had an ordinary clay season but as expected, he did well on grass. He reached the final of the Eastbourne International and stunned 6th seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in the first round at Wimbledon. This week, he got past three Americans Mitchell Krueger, Steve Johnson, and John Isner to book a place in the final.
