With the 2023 season already on the verge of being wrapped up, the young guns in the tennis industry are going for one final run at the ATP Next Gen Finals 2023.

Ahead of the tournament, the young players were allowed to play an interesting game about guessing different objects that were pretty much used in the past.

With most of the players participating in the tournament being born after the ’90s period, the answers that came regarding the objects left the entire tennis community laughing.

First, they were allowed to guess the VHS tapes, which were mostly used back in the day to watch movies. Most of the players, including Alex Michelsen and Luca Nardi, guessed the object was a DVD.

Next, they were presented with the most interesting object on the list, which was a pet toy named Tamagotchi. Neither of the players could answer correctly, but Luca Van Assche took it a step further by identifying it as an alarm.

More interestingly, Italian youngster Flavio Cobolli left the entire Twitter in tears when he replied with absurd answers such as “Aliens” and “Monsters.” Next up was the snap bracelet, which was guessed correctly by almost everyone in the room.

Next, they were presented with objects such as the floppy disk, Etch-A-Sketch, and Blockbuster, and things went pretty messy when they were asked to guess about the Dial-Up Internet feature. Michelsen was embarrassed with himself when he identified the answer as the game Pac-Man, leaving the entire room shocked.

Players to watch out for in the upcoming ATP Next Gen Finals?

The ATP Next Gen Finals have already kicked off on Tuesday, with the young guns fighting each other for a chance to end the year on a high. In the Green Group, top contender Arthur Fils has been grouped along with Cobolli, Nardi, and Swiss star Dominik Stricker.

While in the Red Group, Van Assche has been clubbed along with Hamad Medjedovic, Abedallah Shelbayh, and Michelsen.

While many would hope for Fils to emerge victorious and bag the silverware among the lot, it’s the Serbian ace Medjedovic who has upped his game massively, progressing to the semi-finals with still a group-stage game left to play.

As things stand, the other two stars all lined up to bag the semi-final spots: Nardi and Van Assche.
