Nick Kyrgios, the 27-year-old Australian tennis professional has cemented his position as one of the best players in the world currently. The Australian has been enjoying a very successful season this time around. Kyrgios managed to reach the finals of Wimbledon a few weeks ago where he was defeated by Novak Djokovic in the penultimate match.
Kyrgios recently conducted a Q/A session on his Instagram where fans could ask him whatever they wanted, many asked some interesting questions. One of the highlights of the Q/A session was when Nick Kyrgios was asked about potentially facing US Open champion, Carlos Alcaraz.
Kyrgios replied, “I’m always ready. Carlos Alcaraz let’s get a big match in Spain going.”
Nick Kyrgios shuts down Bernard Tomic over Instagram Q/A
In another one of the questions asked to Kyrgios regarding Bernard Tomic, the Australian was quick to shut him down. A fan asked “The exhibition against going to happen?” Talking about a possible match-up with Tomic, Kyrgios had something very interesting to say.
He replied, “To be honest, I don’t want to make him relevant anymore. I’m not gonna bother with someone 800 in the world. All the best,”
The Australian professional has always been one of the ‘bad boys’ of tennis and he continues to prove that with his antics. He was recently surrounded by controversies as he got into it with Greek tennis professional Stefanos Tsitsipas. In the Laver Cup, American Frances Tiafoe was seen calling Tsitsipas a ‘Greek Yogurt’.
Reacting to a post about the same on Instagram, Kyrgios, and Tiafoe were seen laughing about the incident. Both the players received a lot of heat for their actions.
Kyrgios reached the finals of Wimbledon this year and managed to win the Citi Open. The Australian went to the US Open with a lot of expectations but he was unable to perform to his potential.
