The former world No.1, Novak Djokovic truly stands by his words ’35 is the new 25′. A while ago, Novak went all in against the young Australian, Alex de Minaur after crushing him in straight sets 6-2, 6-1, 6-2. Alex had no answers to the shots played by Novak as the game ended in just two hours. It was a brutal domination from the 35-year-old as he cruises past Alex and reach the quarterfinal of the Australian Open.

Experts and fans predicted it would be an interesting context going into the game as Alex had been playing some amazing tennis in the past week. Even the legend, John McEnroe predicted that the 22nd seed will cause trouble to the nine-time champion here. But the Serbian had other plans and he looked like he was in hurry to finish the match. He showed no sign of discomfort today with his hamstring injury and played some beautiful tennis.

People also showed sympathy towards Alex because it was just not his day on the court. Novak was playing on another level and there is nothing Alex could do more today.

A fellow Australian player, John Millman also replied to Nick’s tweet saying how he got a chance to play Novak and said it was a different planet tennis. However, fans asked Nick not to compare him and Alex to Novak because Nick is already a star player but Alex is just starting.

Many fans poured in tweets praising the amazing game of Novak and wished him luck to win the rest of the matches in the tournament. However, some fans went against Nick and corrected him and saying that was not a measure of ability and he could never do that again.
